The operator of the open mill needs to use both hands to operate on the roller, including flipping and cutting glue, thinning, and making triangular bags. The operation is carried out from morning to night, and the labor intensity of the open mill is high, which can greatly reduce the operator's safety awareness. This is the most dangerous time.

The common method in the industry currently is to have emergency stop switches on both sides, but their effect is minimal.
